This long running event is aimed at our young up and coming players and is played annually with teams representing Hunter River DGA, Lower North Coast DGA and Newcastle DGA. Unfortunately, this year LNCDGA were not represented which resulted in a somewhat shortened tournament but the boys and girls all enjoyed the experience.
Played in the Match Play format the tournament is aimed at providing younger players with match Play experience before they move into the representative arena.
It is pleasing to report that the local team of Shayden Binder, Annika Boyd, Dylan Grogan, Cooper Hetherington, Jake Kable, Eden Middleton and Dylan Moore played strongly and after the dust settled CCDGA and NDGA finished square with the same number of team and individual wins. As a result CCDGA and NDGA were declared joint winners, the first time this has happened.
Congratulations to the players who all performed strongly and were fine ambassadors for golf on the Central Coast.
