On hold for the past 2 years due to lack of entries, this event was played this year in conjunction with the Toukley Mixed Foursomes Championship.
The decision to play the event in conjunction with the Toukley event was taken to try and retain the event and, whilst reasonably successful in terms of numbers, entries from other Clubs were still disappointing. Apart from the Toukley members there were only 1 pair from Mangrove Mt, 3 pairs from Everglades and 2 mixed pairings from Breakers/Mangrove Mt and Everglades/Wyong.
Not unexpectedly the winners all came from Toukley. The nett event was won by Beth Bjorkbom and Will Denniss with a nett score of 70 with the runners up, Lisa and Richard Phillips finishing 2.5 shots back on 72.5.
The Championship was again won by Yvonne Boardman and Dave Willett (77) from the father/daughter pairing of Annika and Kenton Boyd on 83.
Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to the Toukley club for agreeing to be part of an experiment to try and retain this long standing event.
