Norma and Ellis Harris (Everglades) used all of their local course knowledge to return 42 points, the best score on the day over the entire field, to take out the local "final" and qualify to represent the District in the State final at Bonville in September.
Three pairings returned 41 points to finish oh so close to the coveted trip and after countbacks Diane and Michael Laws (Terrigal) finished in second place, Mary Bromwich and Warren Gray (Gosford) third and Wendy Schmidt and Neil Smith (Shelly Beach) fourth. If for any reason Norma and Ellis are unable to make the trip then Diane and Michael will be invited to go.
