The annual clash against the arch enemy, Newcastle DGA, for the Artie Mollett trophy was played at The Springs Golf Club Sunday 27 July and although there were some close matches, Newcastle proved too strong and took the honours 10.5 to 7.5.
Great golf was played on a great course which proved a good test of golf for all of the players and there was much comment about just how good a course The Springs is.
