The 2015 NSW State Foursomes Championship was played at Shelly Beach on Sunday 12 April on a day that started fairly calm but after a 12.00 shotgun start the competitors all faced a typical afternoon at Shelly Beach with strong winds blowing off the ocean which sometimes required 3 or 4 clubs more than usual.
It is pleasing to be able to report that Craig Wickham (Wyong) and Jordie Garner (Shelly Beach) recorded a score of 73 which was equaled by two other pairs, Glen & Matt Osbourne from Carnarvon and the Hunter River pairing of Dylan Perry and Josh Knott.
To determine the winners the three pairs took to the course again for a sudden death playoff which was won by Craig and Jordie after 3 holes of intriguing foursomes golf.
Congratulations Craig and Jordie on a great achievement and for adding your names to a trophy already endorsed with some great champions of the past.
