Strong line up to play Lower North Coast DGA

The next of the annual inter district matches is to be played against the Lower North Coast DGA at Wyong on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July.

The selectors have selected a strong line up to meet LNC and the players are all looking forward to a close contest with our friends from up north.

Play will commence on Saturday 6 at high noon with a series of 4ball matches which sees senior/junior and colts/masters combinations and on Sunday at 7.30am when singles match play will be the order of the day.

In all 4 shields, named after stalwarts of both districts, Jim Nicol and Bob Robards (CCDGA) and Col Pickering and Peter Schroeder (LNCDGA) will be up for grabs and CCDGA will be out to maintain a stranglehold on the shields enjoyed since these matches were instituted. LNCDGA will no doubt again field a strong side and will do everything they can to take the shields home.

There will be some great golf played over the two days and anyone wishing to come along to Wyong Golf Club and follow the matches will be most welcome.
