The semi finals of this event were conducted at The Springs Golf Club on Sunday 16 March and despite a storm delay which saw the players leave the course for safety, both matches were able to be completed.
In the first match James Swanson from Shelly Beach Golf Club had a reasonably comfortable win against his much younger opponent, Ethan Forsyth, from Wyong. The second match was a much closer affair with two old (experience not age) heads almost having to go extra holes. In the end Damien Chambers (Everglades) hung on to narrowly to defeat Craig Wickham also from Wyong.
James and Damien will now meet in the final to determine the winner of the inaugural Tony Lamaro Match Play Championship.
