The Pennant Presentation for 2019 was held at Breakers and all the District Clubs were represented and enjoyed catching up and morning tea. Thank you to Breakers for hosting the event and to the District Committee for the organisation.
Congratulations to the Wattle Pool winners -Kooindah and to Banksia Pool Winners and Margin Shield Winners - Morisset
The closure of Morisset has been very difficult for everyone associated with the club and it seemed fitting that Morisset finished as the Margin Shield Winners this year. Ellen Rae, Morisset Captain spoke about the closure and the impact it has had on the Morisset ladies. Many of the Morisset ladies have decided to join other district clubs and we thank these clubs for welcoming the Morisset ladies.
The Pennant season was played in a competitive, yet friendly spirit and we thank the players for this. Also a big thank you to the District Clubs for hosting the pennant matches each week and to the ladies committees for running the matches and providing the morning tea.
A big thank you to the District committee for their work in managing and collating the weekly results from matches -especially Yvonne Boardman, District Captain.
Best wishes to all and we look forward to the 2020 Pennant Season.
