The qualifying round for this event was played in conjunction with the 2015 CCDGA Singles Championship at Shelly Beach in February 2015 with the leading 16 players moving into the match play contests.
During the course of the match play events there have been some close and exciting contests and some relatively "unknown" players have placed themselves squarely in the selectors sights for representative honours.
The final was played at Magenta Shores on Sunday 24 May between Peter Sliwinski (SB) and David Willett (Tou). Both players have been long time District players and both well versed in the intricacies of match play and there was little doubt that it would be a close and exciting final.
Sadly, there can be but one winner and it took 18 holes before the winner was determined with David running out the winner 1 up. The match was close throughout with neither player being able to break away and there was never more than 1 hole between the players.
Congratulation David on a fine win over a worthy opponent.
