The 2014 Regional Championships are to be held at Muswellbrook Golf Club over the weekend of 16 / 17 August 2014.
Teams representing the four Districts formerly known as Zone 2, namely CCDGA, Hunter River DGA, Lower North Coast DGA and Newcastle DGA, will vie for the coveted Jim Baker Shield which is decided by the best team aggregate score over the 36 holes after discarding the worst score returned each day in each of the 4 sections of the competition.
Players also play for the Open Championship, Junior Championship, Masters Championship and there are gross and nett prizes in all sections.
The tournament is not only for players selected to represent their respective DGA and as long as a player is a registered member of a Club within one of the four DGAs he is eligible to contest the Championship.
