Regretfully, we note that long time servant of golf on the Central Coast, Bob Robards, passed away on 12 October after a short stay in hospital.
Bob was a stalwart and Life Member of Morisset Country Club and served on the District Association, firstly for many years as delegate of his beloved Morisset, moving into Executive roles with the Association as Captain from 1991 to 1994, Vice President 1996 and President from 1997 to 2015.
Bob also served as the Association's representative to Golf NSW for many years and in recognition of his efforts was awarded Life Membership of the Association on 11 March 1999.
Blessed with a quick mind and a great sense of humour, Bob was always ready for a joke and took great delight in having fun with the many friends that he had, not only on the Coast but across the greater golfing community.
Our thoughts go out to Joy and Bob's extended family at this difficult time. Bob will be sadly missed.
