This event is to be played at Muswellbrook Golf Club over the weekend o 12 / 13 August played in shotgun format (pm Saturday, am Sunday) and is open to male golfers who reside permanently outside the Sydney Metropolitan area and are members of member Clubs of the 4 Districts which constitute Zone 2 being Central Coast, Hunter River, Lower North Coast and Newcastle DGAs.
Each of the Associations will enter a team of 21 players to compete for the Jim Baker Shield and additionally for the gross and nett prizes in the 3 Championships, Open (18 and over), Junior (under 18) and Masters (over 50). There is also the Sandy Cameron Shield contested by 4 players, not necessarily part of the Jim Baker Shield teams but all members of the same club. Players in the Jim Baker Shield teams can be part of a Sandy Cameron team but can only play in one team in the Cameron Shield.
