A very windy Cessnock Golf Club hosted this event over the weekend of 18/19 August and Coast golfers rose to the occassion with Lloyd Radcliffe, Jamie Stephen and Jordie Garner capturing the first three places in the Championship respectively.
Shaun Brownlow and Richard Dewberry respectively took the trophies for best net scores over the first and second rounds, Shelly Beach capturing the Sandy Cameron Shield for the best Club team (the team comprised Jordie Garner, Tim O'Regan, James Swanson and Jamie Stephen) for the second time in two years and, for the first time in too long to remember, the CCDGA 21 captured the prized Jim Baker Shield as champion team.
To cap off the weekend Jamie Stephen, who has been playing golf at the elite level for what seems like forever, aced the treacherous 12th hole for his first ever hole in one.
Congratulations to all of the Coast players who played at Cessnock over the weekend, you have done golf on the Central Coast proud.
